As a writer, I enjoy getting out of the house to get the creative juices flowing. I spend time at home writing and blogging, but most days I end up at the coffee shop or my favorite coworking space.
However, I'm sure many writers can relate when I say that sometimes you just need a little peace and quiet. Coffee shops are often filled with conversations and sounds of coffee grinding, which can make it hard to hear yourself think.
Oh, sure, a writer can do work in any car, but what makes the Audi so special?
It’s that wonderful invention called Wifi, and if you don’t already know, the newer Audi models are fitted with Audi Connect. This turns the car into a wifi hotspot, allowing up to eight wireless devices with the ability to connect. Even when the car is turned off, you can still connect to the internet.
Audi connect also features weather, news and fuel prices; Google Voice Local Search for detailed information about travel destinations, such as restaurant or hotel hours, pricing and customer reviews; and the myAudi Destination feature, which allows users to log on to Google Earth.
As I’m writing this post, I’m sitting in the S4 that’s parked under a nice shady tree at the park. There’s something about being in nature and open air that makes the words flow better. And when I need a little break, I just open up the Pandora app on my iPhone (it's synched to the car) and listen to some relaxing music...
You may be wondering if you actually need another wireless bill, but you'll be happy to know that Audi and T-Mobile just announced a partnership that will offer a data plan for as little as $15 a month.
New and existing owners of cars equipped with Audi connect can pay $450 at any time to receive full data services over 30 months, a plan equaling just $15 per month or less if the Audi owner enjoyed the six-month free trial period included at purchase. Alternatively, for $30 per month, customers may also choose a month-to-month Audi connect service plan.
You can sign up sign up at the dealership or through www.myaudiconnect.com.

Can Audi Connect be turned off, if one does not wish to be "connected" or auto-updated?
