The A7 was my favorite 2014 model, but it didn't make the best-seller list |
- December 2014 was the 48th consecutive month of record sales in the U.S.
- December was also the first time monthly sales exceeded 19,000 cars with the Audi Q5 leading the pack with 4,551 units of the model sold.
- Audi sold 182,011 vehicles in 2014, which is a 15.2% increase from 2013.
- Audi holds the longest running monthly record sales streak in the luxury car market according to MotorIntelligence.com
So which models were the top sellers for 2014?
#5 Audi Q7 - America's love affair with SUV models is alive and well, and I don't blame them for wanting to buy the Q7. Thanks to TDI, it's great for those long road trips and you could actually sleep in it if you wanted to.
Audi Q7 TDI |
#4: Audi A3 - This comes as no surprise as Audi had a huge campaign this year including an entertaining Superbowl ad to promote this mini sedan. I enjoyed my week with the cabriolet version, and with a starting price of just under $30K, it will be easier for more people to get a taste of luxury driving.
#3: Audi A6 - The ultimate luxury sedan - a perfect car for business executives and their families, or for someone like me who just appreciates roomy cars. Maybe you don't have it in the budget to buy an A8, so this is absolutely the next best thing.
Audi Q5 |
#1: Audi Q5 - Oh, how much I do love the Q5. It's like a baby Q7, but drives like an A4. I did say in my review that the headlights are my favorite feature, but I take that back and say that the whole exterior design is just remarkable.
