Fix Your Audi’s Chips and Scratches With Touch-Up Paint

2012 Audi S4 Lights
Looks brand new without chips or scratches!
Yesterday as I was washing the S4 loaner I had for the week, I noticed a small scratch on the back bumper. I’m assuming it came from someone who had taken out a piece of luggage from the trunk, which left the vertical scratch on the bumper.

I don’t know about you, but when you get chips and scratches on your nice-looking car - a brand new car at that - all of a sudden that’s all you focus on. It’s like when you were a teenager and you got that first zit. It could be a tiny zit, but it becomes very annoying, right?

You always have the option of visiting the repair shop and paying exorbitant amounts of money for a very minor paint job, although there are people who specialize in fixing chips and scratches inexpensively too. However, why not do it yourself and save that cash for upgrading your Audi?

There are companies like AutomotiveTouchup.com that offer Audi touch up paint and other various tools to help restore the car to factory finish. They even have a library of videos that show you how to do different paint jobs on your car. Even something as seemingly ambitious as a bumper repaint job got me thinking, “I can do that!” See for yourself...

Here's a video that shows you how to use the paint pen for tiny chips and scratches...

What has been your experience working with touch-up paint on your Audi? Have any tips to share?

Nice blog. I have been researching auto painting since my Honda Civic proved to have defective factory paint. No, Honda would not stand by their warranty. :-(
